Jess Garcia

Jess Garcia, founder and CEO of One eSecurity, is a senior security consultant for government, commercial, financial and telecommunication organizations in Europe, Latin-America, Canada & USA. Jess is also a SANS Certified Instructor in Forensics, Intrusion Detection and Perimeter security among other specialties, teaching them regularly in Europe. Jess additionally collaborates with the SANS Institute in research projects, the GIAC certification program, courseware development, etc. Jess worked for 10 years as a system, network and security engineer for the spanish National Aerospace Institute (INTA), where he had the chance to collaborate frequently as a security expert with space agencies (ESA, NASA) and other international government, research, educational and commercial organizations. Among the broad spectrum of fields in which he has developed his professional activity, Jess specializes in Security Architecture, Incident Response and Forensics, Honeypots & Honeynets, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Perimeter Security and Firewalls, UNIX Security, System & Network Security and Auditing, etc. Jess holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Univ. Polit�cnica de Madrid, and he is a frequent speaker on international events, writer for international publications and jury member in international contests. Jess has co-authored the book Securing Solaris 8 & 9 Using the Center for Internet Security Benchmark and has contributed to some others.
